Housewarming
Student Housing RHA invites you to Housewarming. Housewarming attendees have the opportunity to move in before their peers. Our focus during this program is to help influence your transition to college and prepare you with tools for success if/when challenges arise. The transition to college life can be difficult for many students and we want to ensure that you are equipped with the resources to make your transition easier. Becoming familiar with this new environment ensures that you receive the most interactive and engaging college experience.
Learning Objectives
- Self-discovery: This program will allow you to reflect on your past experiences and how they might impact your college career.
- Community building: Housewarming provides an opportunity to build relationships and develop a sense of belonging.
- Embracing transition: You will be given the tools to overcome challenges and thrive in your academic and personal endeavors.

What is Housewarming?
Housewarming is an early move-in experience designed to help eligible first-time freshmen acclimate and integrate to CSUN and the CSUN Student Housing community. During this three-day experience, attendees will be engaging with Student Housing staff, different CSUN resources, and receiving CSUN swag.
When is Housewarming?
You will move in three days early on Wednesday, August 21 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and participate in three days of social events and activities from August 21st – 23rd.
All first-time freshmen living in a Theme Living Community, Living Learning Community, and Suites are eligible to register. Please note, that only 250 spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Residents attending Housewarming will move in on Wednesday, August 21st anytime between 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
Absolutely! At CSUN Student Housing, we have professional staff interpreters who can be present if services are needed.
