Here you will find everything you need to get to know on-campus housing at CSUN.

Learn About Student Housing

Our navigation sidebar to the right will have all the information you need to learn about living in Student Housing – including our living options, rates and a step-by-step guide on how to apply.

Application date: Housing application goes live in the spring. You will be notified by email, but we encourage you to check our website starting in March for the application date.
Application fee: There is a $50 housing application fee and a $50 meal plan application fee (if applicable) to submit your application. There is no fee to be added to the waitlist.
Don't wait to apply: You can apply for housing before you are officially admitted to CSUN. You just need your CSUN login that you receive when you submit your CSUN application.
Housing fills up quickly: Student Housing is offered on first-come, first-served basis and fills up quickly — we often have to start a waitlist after a few weeks — so make sure to apply early to avoid being waitlisted.
Room and roommate selection: Residents are able to select their own rooms and roommates. An email will be sent to all contracted students in the summer with room and roommate selection information.

Review our application process: Our "How to Apply" page has detailed information about our application process so you are ready to apply when the application goes live. Once application is live, spaces can fill up quickly. Your application is considered complete only when all the information is entered and the application fee is paid.
