  • Talking with Students about AI
    This train-the-teacher-to-train-the-student workshop helps faculty give students an overview of AI. It covers the background of AI and the integrity of prompting, assignment use, ethics, and caution about when students should consider using AI. Faculty will have access to the slides to use in their classrooms.

CSU AI Micro-Credential Learning Labs

During the month of April 2025, Academic Technology is hosting a series of online learning labs for those at CSUN who are completing the Academic Applications of AI (AAAI) Faculty Micro-Credential. These online synchronous sessions are an opportunity to connect with fellow CSUN faculty to share progress and discuss how the course concepts can be applied in your teaching.

  • CSU Academic Applications of AI (AAAI) Micro-Credential for Faculty 
    This self-paced, online course provides training in the responsible uses of generative AI in higher education. Developed by San Diego State University, the course is now available across the CSU system through the Chancellor’s Office. Visit the CSU AI Commons for more information and to enroll.  

  • CSU Academic Applications of AI (AAAI) Micro-Credential for Students 
    The CSU Chancellor’s Office has made available to the system a micro-credential course designed by San Diego State University for students. This is a great resource to share with students and can serve as a starting point for broader discussion on responsible use of AI for students and future professionals. You can direct students to the CSU AI Commons for more information and to enroll. 

  • CSUN AI Hub in Canvas 
    The CSUN AI Hub is a living repository curated by the Academic Technology team, offering continuously updated information on licensed AI tools, campus guidance, and professional development opportunities.  

  • CSUN Learning Initiative for Teaching and Artificial Intelligence (LIFT AI) 
    LIFT AI is a collaborative virtual community where CSUN faculty and staff engage in discussions, share insights, and access curated resources to explore the benefits and challenges of integrating artificial intelligence in teaching and learning. 

  • CSU AI Commons 
    The CSU AI Commons is a centralized AI resource site provided and updated by the CSU Chancellor’s Office, offering comprehensive tools, resources, training, and ethical guidance for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to explore AI and higher education.
