Competition

This year there will be a club competition on the ballot! You can choose to allocate one dollar ($1.00) to any recognized student club or organization. This dollar comes from the A.S. fee that students have already paid, it will not cost you anything! So if 100 people select CLUB X, that club will receive $100 dollars for their group. Even if only one person votes for CLUB X, that group will still receive one dollar. 

In addition to the $1.00 allocation, whichever club gets the most votes will get extra money from the Elections committee:

• 1st most voted club will receive an additional - $500
• 2nd most voted club will receive an additional - $350
• 3rd most voted club will receive an additional - $275
• 4th most voted club will receive an additional - $200
• 5th most voted club will receive an additional - $175
• 6th most voted club will receive an additional - $150
• 7th most voted club will receive an additional - $125
• 8th most voted club will receive an additional - $100
• 9th most voted club will receive an additional - $75
• 10th most voted club will receive an additional - $50

To clarify the system, if a club, like Club X, accumulates 350 votes, they would receive $350. If Club X secures the first position (gets the most votes), they will be granted an extra $500, bringing their total award to $850. 

HOW TO MAKE SURE YOUR CLUB IS ON THE CLUB COMPETITION BALLOT:

For your club to be able to participate in the Club Competition, your club must have an AS Agency account, AND be registered with the MIC (Matador Involvement Center) through Matasync for the SPRING Semester by March 14, 2024. Once/if your club is registered into the Matasync, you are automatically entered and will be on the ballot. Please check that the Matasync is updated. If you are looking to get added on the ballot but are not added onto Matasync yet, please contact chairofelections@csunas.org."
