MBA Frequently Asked Questions

Please read these FAQs to learn more about CSUN Nazarian MBA program.

This is an Evening MBA program only with classes held once a night each week from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday, with an exception of a few Saturday meetings for some classes. All courses are taught on-campus; there are no online classes.

In addition to the MBA, we also offer the Graduate Certificate In Business Administration. Please contact our office for more information. 

We accept applications for the fall and spring semesters. The MBA Program application deadlines: fall application deadline is May 31st and the spring deadline is Oct 31st.  For the university's application deadlines, please visit Admissions for current submission deadlines. 

This depends on the number of classes you may be required to take. The MBA program is made up of 33 units/11 classes if you have an undergraduate degree in Business from an AACSB accredited program and 48 units/16 classes if you do not have an undergraduate degree in Business from an AACSB accredited program. On average, students who enroll in 2 classes per semester, including summer, complete the program in 2.5 years.

MBA courses are offered over the summer classes; however, classes are not offered during the winter session.

We do not require prerequisite courses to qualify for the MBA program. If you have a bachelor’s degree in Business from an accredited AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) school, the foundation courses may be waived. If you have a bachelor’s degree in a field other than Business, it is required to take the foundation courses. 

GMAT or GRE scores are evaluated along with other parts of the application. Scores in the 50th percentile or higher are preferred.
