Alcohol Safety Training Requirement

CSU Executive Order 1068 requires the President, Treasurer, and University advisor(s) to complete an alcohol safety training annually.

The Matador Involvement Center requires officers and university advisors to complete the training as part of the student organization registration process, to ensure the training is completed as required by Executive Order 1068.

There are two (2) courses available for officers and university advisors to complete:

  • Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness™ – Comprehensive 2025 (90-minutes)
  • Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness™ – Level 2 2025 (30-minutes)

Officers and university advisors only need to complete one (1) of the Decisions: Alcohol and Drug Awareness courses to meet the training requirement.

  • If an officer or university advisor is completing the Decisions: Alcohol & Drug Awareness course for the first time using their CSUN credentials. Only the Comprehensive course will be listed on the login page, in this case the officer and/or university advisor must complete the Comprehensive course. After completing the Comprehensive course, the officer and/or university advisor DO NOT have to complete the Level 2 course.
  • If an officer or university advisor previously completed the Decisions: Alcohol & Drug Awareness course, using their CSUN credentials. Both courses may be listed on the login page, in this case, the officer and/or university advisor will only need to complete the Level 2 course. After completing the Level 2 course, the officer and/or university advisor DO NOT have to complete the Comprehensive course.

To access the alcohol safety training go to the CSUN Prevent Zone course page, and login using your CSUN credentials.
