Office of Equity & Compliance (Title IX)

Members of the California State University, Northridge community have a right to work, live and learn in an environment free from discrimination based on a protected status. The Office of Equity & Compliance (formally known as Equity & Diversity) review cases involving Discrimination, Harassment, Retaliation and Title IX based on a protected status such as: Age, Disability, Gender, Marital Status, Nationality, Religion, Race/Ethnicity, Sexual Orientation, and Veteran/Military Status. You do not have to file a formal complaint to get accommodation or assistance with a case.

How to report discrimination, harassment, and retaliation:

  1. You will have an initial intake interview.
  1. If a CSU policy has been violated, a formal investigation will open.
  1. OEC will then conduct an intake interview with the respondent.
  1. A final report is sent to all parties involved with violation verdict.
  1. If there is a violation, sanctions are determined with relevant campus partners.
