Gender Inclusive Housing

CSUN Student Housing is committed to providing a safe and welcoming living environment for all students, including students who identify as transgender, gender queer or gender non-conforming. Gender inclusive housing is available to students and can be accessed through the housing application.

Please note: You must change/indicate your identity on the Housing Application as Gender Neutral to be considered for this agreement.

You are only selecting your gender identity for your own apartment or suite. All buildings in Student Housing are mixed by gender. This means you will live on a floor with neighboring apartments or suites that are designated as all female units, gender-inclusive units or all male units. Housing does not currently have single-sex buildings or floors.

For more information on applying, please visit the website at: https://www.csun.edu/housing.

If you have questions about gender inclusive housing, please contact Taylor Kielman, Assistant Community Director for Residential Life at taylor.kielman@csun.edu.

We Are Pride

We Are Pride is a peer-led discussion group in Student Housing that serves students who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and/or asexual (LGBTQIA), and allied students. Their discussions largely focus on building community, talking about college experiences as LGBTQIA students, and learning about the many resources CSUN and the surrounding Los Angeles area offer LGBTQIA youth. Join and participate in fun social activities!
