Intrasystem and Concurrent Visitors
The Intrasystem Visitor and Concurrent Visitor Programs allow California State University, Northridge (CSUN) students to attend other CSU campuses for a semester or give outside CSU students the opportunity to attend California State University, Northridge. To participate in these programs, you must be approved through Admissions and Records at your home school.
Guidelines for California State University, Northridge students visiting another CSU campus
Intrasystem visitor: If you are a California State University, Northridge student attending another CSU campus as a visitor, you apply for aid from the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department at California State University, Northridge. You must list California State University, Northridge on your FAFSA and use the federal school code 001153. You pay tuition and other fees to the host campus; contact the host school for information on payment. California State University, Northridge will not charge you tuition fees and will not deduct a tuition fee from your financial aid. California State University, Northridge will send your financial aid check to the home address on record or will electronically disburse funds via e-Refund. You must provide proof of enrollment from the host school to the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department at California State University, Northridge. Aid will disburse according to California State University, Northridge's disbursement schedule.
Concurrent visitor: If you are a Northridge student attending both California State University, Northridge and another CSU campus at the same time, you pay tuition and other fees to California State University, Northridge based on combined units at both schools. You must provide proof of enrollment from the host school to the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department at California State University, Northridge. California State University, Northridge awards financial aid based on the combined units at both schools and disburses aid according to California State University, Northridge's disbursement schedule.
Guidelines for students visiting California State University, Northridge from another CSU
Intrasystem visitor: If you are a visitor to California State University, Northridge from another CSU campus, you pay tuition and other fees to California State University, Northridge, but California State University, Northridge does not award your financial aid. You must apply for financial aid with your home campus. Your home school will process and send out financial aid.
Concurrent visitor: If you are visiting California State University, Northridge from another CSU campus, you pay tuition and other fees to your home school based on combined units at both schools. You must apply for aid from your home school; Northridge will not award your financial aid.
Guidelines for California State University, Northridge students participating in either the Intrasystem or Concurrent Visitor Program
- Apply and receive approval from Admissions and Records as an intrasystem or concurrent visitor. Contact their office for more information at (818) 677-3700.
- Ensure Admissions and Records notifies the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department of your outgoing intrasystem or concurrent visitor student status.
- Apply for financial aid using California State University, Northridge's federal school code, 001153. The priority FAFSA funding date for the following academic year is March 2.
- Submit all documents requested by the Financial Aid & Scholarship Department.
- Meet satisfactory academic progress requirements.
