Career Services for Recent CSUN Alumni
Graduating is just the beginning of your professional journey. Recent CSUN graduates have access to Career Services for one full year after receiving their degree. During this time, alumni can take advantage of:
- Career Counseling (up to 3 sessions) – Receive personalized career guidance via email, phone, or Zoom.
- Drop-in Career Advising (up to 5 sessions) – Get quick career advice from a Career Peer Educator.
- Resume Critiques – Have your resume reviewed during drop-in advising or through specialized critique software.
- Interview Preparation – Practice your interview skills with a career counselor or peer mentor.
- Job Search Support – Gain access to Handshake, CareerLink, and in-person career fairs.
- Career Education Workshops & Networking Events – Engage in industry panels, career fairs, and mentorship opportunities.
To access these services, register on CareerLink and complete your Handshake profile.
CAREER SERVICES FOR ALUMNI BEYOND 1 YEAR POST-DEGREE
CSUN alumni can continue to expand their career growth beyond the first year of graduation by accessing:
- Handshake & CareerLink – Job postings, networking opportunities, and virtual career resources.
- Career Workshops & Events – Stay connected with industry professionals through networking events, career panels, and alumni mentoring programs.
- Printed Career Guides & Handouts – Available at the Career Center Collaboratorium for additional support.

Tseng College Students: What’s Available?
Tseng College students can take advantage of many career-building opportunities, including:
- Handshake – Job postings, networking opportunities, and virtual career resources
- CareerLink – Access virtual career resources, job postings, and employer connections.
- Career Events – Attend CSUN career fairs, networking events, and company info sessions.
Please note: Tseng College students do not have access to career counseling, drop-in advising, or on-campus interviews.
On-Campus Employment for Graduate Students
Graduate students seeking real-world experience while continuing their education can explore on-campus employment opportunities. These roles provide valuable career-building skills, professional networking, and additional income while studying at CSUN.

Tseng College students can attend Career events and have access to CareerLink. Yet, Career counseling, drop-in advice, and on-campus interviews are unavailable to Tseng College students.
