Sponsorships
What is USU Co-Sponsorship?
The USU Co-Sponsorship program aims to work with campus clubs, organizations and campus departments to provide supplemental funding that supports activities and events for CSUN students.
All funding requests must be submitted and approved BEFORE the event occurs. All sponsorships are subject to availability of funds.
Before applying for any USU Sponsorship, please check the Sponsorship Guidelines below to verify whether your group and event are eligible for USU Sponsorship.
There are two types of sponsorship from the USU:
- Co-Sponsorship
A Co-Sponsorship is the allocation of funds intended to support programs and events hosted by CSUN clubs and organizations and CSUN affiliated departments. - Performance Hall Usage
A Plaza del Sol Performance Hall Co-Sponsorship is the allocation of supplemental funds for Performance Hall costs including but not limited to facility rental, audio visual equipment, ticketing and staffing costs, etc.
How does it work?
Applicants must complete and submit the Co-Sponsorship online application no later than three weeks prior to the event. The USU reviews the requests and verifies applicant information and that program meets the criteria outlined in the USU Co-Sponsorship Policy. Funds are approved and allocated based on availability. The applicants will receive an email notification of the decision.
- If the application is approved, an e-mail containing a memo of approval detailing the co-sponsorship and instructions on how to receive funds is sent.
- Within two weeks following the event, applicants must submit a completed Co-Sponsorship Post-Event Report. Failure to submit the report may prevent the organization from receiving further sponsorships from the USU for at least one year.
- If the application is denied, an e-mail containing additional information will be sent.
