Live Pay Warrant Distribution Procedure
The pay warrant distribution procedure includes payroll distribution for all employees, including students, overtime and stipend pay warrants distributed mid-month, and the monthly master payroll.
We strongly encourage employees to sign up for direct deposit as soon as possible. Benefits include the quick and secure distribution of your pay warrant directly to your bank account, enhanced protection against lost checks, and simplified budgeting through automatic bank transfer options.
To sign up for direct deposit, please follow the steps to register with Cal Employee Connect (CEC).
For Pick Up:
Each department will have a current Department Designated Representative (DDR) Authorization Form on file with University Cash Services (UCS). If there is a change during the year, a new Live Pay Warrant Distribution Department Designated Representative (DDR) Authorization Form must be submitted via Adobe Sign workflow to UCS at least 48 hours prior to the next pay warrant distribution.
Pay warrants for distribution can be picked up from the UCS located in Bayramian Hall (BH), Student Services Center.
Faculty and Staff Payday ("Master Payroll") distribution is typically the last business day of the month* between 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Staff Hourly, Overtime & Shift Differential Payday distribution is typically on the 15th of the month* between 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
**Please refer to the Payroll calendar for distribution days
To ensure availability, please check in through Qless: https://www.csun.edu/check-in. You may update and move your time at your convenience to fit your schedule as well. The DDR must present a CSUN photo identification card or valid government issued ID to pick up the pay warrants.
After 10 business days, if the DDR is unable to deliver live pay warrants to an employee, the warrants shall be returned to UCS along with a completed Undelivered Pay Warrants form.
