Music, M.M.: Vocal Performance

The graduate program in vocal arts at CSUN has a storied history of producing world renowned performers and teachers. The diverse and inclusive nature of our program and the flexibility of our voice faculty to mentor graduate students as individuals with varying career aspirations is what makes coming to CSUN so rewarding for so many. Being in Los Angeles provides tremendous opportunity for networking as a musician.

Graduate students in vocal arts are presented with a number of performance options each semester. Students can sing the leading roles in major operas in the original language, they can perform concert music with the CSUN Symphony Orchestra, and they can perform as soloists in oratorios. Vocal students from CSUN perform off campus regularly with professional ensembles, such as the Los Angeles Master Chorale, the Los Angeles Opera Chorus and many different regional opera companies.

CSUN voice faculty have all had and continue to have careers are versatile performers. Our environment if warm and inclusive and each faculty member is truly dedicated to the success of their students. Our current voice faculty include:
