Performance
Music performance is a truly unique profession that allows us to share our passion for the art of music with others through live and recorded performance and teaching. A degree in performance can be very rewarding for those who follow through on this path. Students who obtain a degree in music performance go on to careers perfoming in professional ensembles, chamber groups, combos and as solo artists. Many will share their artistry with others by also teaching private students or teaching at a university. Some are even able to combine their performing career musical passions such as arts administration or music industry work.
Turning a degree in performance into a lifetime of sharing one’s passion for music takes great personal motivation and dedication. The music faculty at CSUN care for each student individually and will be sure that you are mentored on the right path in an effort to help you fulfill your personal goals.
