Transportation
The A.S Ticket Office makes commuting to CSUN easier! We offer transportation information and services to our fellow Matadors and community. Whether you are commuting locally with Metro or making you way from the Antelope Valley, you can count on us to help you find your way to where Matadors belong! Loading bus fare has never been easier and more convenient as we can do that for you as well. Check us out so we can get you Mata-moving!
The A.S. Ticket Office offers the Metro U-Pass for enrolled students every Spring and Fall semester. The U-Pass program allows students to take advantage of unlimited rides on: Metro Buses, Metro Subways, DASH, the Big Blue Bus, Culver City Bus, Foothill Transit, Gardena Transit, Long Beach Transit, Montebello Bus Lines, Norwalk Transit, & Pasadena Transit. The U-Pass does NOT work for MetroLink nor the AVTA, but we do offer other special programs.
Please refer to the U-Pass webpage for more information on how to purchase or renew the pass.
Metro has changed the way you utilize their services! Their new Fare Capping allows for more opportunities to ride without hurting your wallet. Visit Metro’s Fare Capping webpage for additional information on how their new change makes it easier for everyone who pays with TAP can earn free rides.
The CSUN Transit Station is an excellent example of the University's commitment to encourage the campus community to use transit as a commute mode to access the campus. The three bus lines that use the CSUN Transit Station offer easy travel solutions from 4 directions (north, south, east, and west). The bus lines that serve the CSUN Transit Station are:
- Metro Bus Line 167 (accessing Plummer Street)
- Metro Bus Line 744 (Rapid) (accessing Reseda, Ventura, and Sepulveda Boulevards)
- AVTA Express Line 787 (accessing Palmdale/Lancaster)
- CSUN Metrolink Shuttle (accessing the Northridge Metrolink Station)
All bus services operating at the CSUN Transit Station run Monday through Friday, except Metro Line 167). The CSUN Transit Station is not open on weekends. Metro Line 167 stops at Reseda/Plummer, 7 days a week.
Enrolled students are able to apply for a Reduced Fare College TAP card online. This TAP card will allow the user to pay for Metro’s fare at a reduced rate. This TAP card IS DIFFERENT than the regular blue TAP card.
Visit their Reduced Fares webpage and make sure you are on the College/Vocational Student Tab to apply for this card.
AVTA passes are available at our office for purchase. We offer 10 trip, two 10 trip, and monthly passes. Enrolled students are able to qualify for a subsidy on select passes. Visit the A.S Ticket Office located in the University Student Union (USU) for more info.
