Dilled Green Peas
Preparation
In water boil
- Pour 20 oz of green peas
- Strain and reserve ⅓ of the cooking water
Place into a bowl and add
- ⅓ cup of leftover cooking water
- 1 tbsp of salad oil (vegetable oil)
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- ¾ tbsp of dill weed
- ¼ tbsp of dried basil
- 1 garlic clove
- ½ tsp of salt
- ½ tsp of pepper
- Mix
- Chill for 10 minutes
- Discard the garlic from the mixture
- Add 1 cup of celery
- 6 lettuce leaves
- 1 hard-boiled egg
