Bustos Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Bustos Family Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to students enrolled in the fields of Accountancy and/or Finance enrolled within the Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.7

Carande Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Carande Family Scholarship will provide scholarship support to students who are identified as coming from traditionally underserved populations. Traditionally underserved refers to students from racial and ethnic groups that have been traditionally underserved in higher education; specifically, this includes students who identify as African American/Black, Latinx, American Indian, and Pacific Islander. The CSU Chancellor’s Office and federal government reports usually use the term “underrepresented
minority”.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.5.

$2,000 to 10 students

Dean's Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Dean’s Scholarship to recognize students of excellence, both in terms of life experiences and academics. This scholarship is open to matriculated continuing CSUN students who have a declared business or economics major at time of application and during the award year.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 2.8.

Dennis and Carrie DeYoung Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the De Young Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity shall support a full-time undergraduate student matriculated in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, who has demonstrated leadership skills either through participation in student governance or student activities. Additional consideration will be provided for a student who is active with campus organizations and/or volunteer leadership positions of entities such as University Student Union, Associated Students, Business Organizations and Cahpers, Student-Athletes, Fraternity or Sororities, N’Crowd, etc.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 2.5.

Don and Dee Ferrera Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Don and Dee Ferrera Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes students of excellence, both in terms of life experiences and academics, in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics. They also support students who have a history of nontraditional housing arrangements such as foster care, group home or living with a relative or non-parent.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have a CSUN GPA of at least 3.5

Dr. Mahmood Qureshi Memorial Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Dr. Mahmood Qureshi Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes four (2 need-based and 2 merit based) undergraduate students within the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.8.

Fred and Sharon Nigro Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Fred and Sharon Nigro Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes a student majoring in one of the majors within the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.8.

Heather J. Briggs Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Heather J. Briggs Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes students of excellence, both in terms of life experiences and academics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be part of a historically underserved population of students.
• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.8.

Helmut Bothe Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Helmut Bothe Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is awarded to students enrolled in a course of study within the Nazarian College of Business and Economics with demonstrated financial need and academic success. Preference will be given to students who received a significant portion of their pre-college education in Europe.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Students must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 3.0.

Hendricks Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Hendricks Family Scholarship.

• Must have a CSUN GPA greater than or equal to a 2.8.

Georgio Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Georgio Family Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes a first-generation CSUN student.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Open to continuing first-generation undergraduate & graduate students enrolled in 15 units or more for the current spring 2024 term.
• Students must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 2.8.

Howard and Ellen Press Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Howard and Ellen Press Family Scholarship.  This scholarship opportunity recognizes students of excellence, both in terms of life experiences and academics. This opportunity also looks to support a student in her/his process of professionalization who implements innovative, “out of the box” approaches to move toward career goals.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Students must have a GPA greater than or equal to a 2.75.
• Must be under advisement and have sought career counseling.

Award

$4,000.00 to 1 student with distribution half in fall half in spring

Marian B. and Jerome Gould Scholarship Endowment

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Marian B. and Jerome Gould Scholarship Endowment. This scholarship opportunity recognizes graduating seniors of excellence, in terms of both academics and life experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.5

Michael M. Berns Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Michael M. Berns Scholarship. Student must be enrolled in 15 units or more.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have a CSUN GPA greater than or equal to a 3.2.

$3,000.00 to 8 students

Milt and Debbie Valera Endowment Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Valera Endowment Scholarship. This scholarship will provide scholarship support to a student enrolled in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have a CSUN GPA greater than or equal to a 2.8.

$1,000.00 to 1 student

Mundy Family Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Mundy Family’s Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity is open to (undergraduate or graduate) enrolled in a course of study within the Nazarian College of Business and Economics with demonstrated financial need. Preference will be given to students who participate in intercollegiate athletics (not intramural sports).

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.75.

Stelmar Scholarship 

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Stelmar Scholarship Fund. This scholarship opportunity is open to CSUN Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students enrolled in a course of study within the Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Any change to your enrollment status resulting in less than full time enrollment for any term within the award year will result in a cancellation of your award.

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 2.8.

Stewart Monet Lovett Scholarship

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Stewart Monte Lovett Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes a transfer student from a
community or junior college, who is a first-generation college student and currently enrolled in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a first-generation student.
• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0.
• Must demonstrate leadership and be involved in extra curriculum activities.

Thomas C. Bloch Endowed Scholarship

 The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Thomas C. Bloch Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes a Business Honors student.

This scholarship is open to matriculated continuing CSUN Freshmen students accepted into the Business Honors Program and pursuing a major within the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Open to continuing undergraduate freshman students who are in the Business Honors Program.
• Must have a CSUN GPA greater than or equal to a 3.5.
• If Applicable: A descending order list of Extracurricular activities AND dates of involvement (including memberships, offices held in student clubs or other office, volunteer service, committee involvement, etc.) AND involvement role (i.e. leader, director, etc.) for each position held.
• If Applicable: A descending order list of Awards and Honors received (i.e. academic and non-academic awards, other scholarships awarded, medals, trophies, citations, publications, etc.)
• If Applicable: A descending order list of Employment History in addition to the requested resume (list should show Firm name, location (city, state), Dates employed, Hours per week, and major duties of the position held)

Warner K. Masters Award

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the Warner K. Masters Award. This scholarship opportunity recognizes graduating seniors of excellence, in terms of both academics and life experience.

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.75.

William R. Hosek Achievement Award

The David Nazarian College of Business and Economics offers the William R. Hosek Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity recognizes undergraduate or graduate students
of excellence, in terms of both academics and community services.

*Scholarship is renewable for the next academic year if the recipient continues to meet the set scholarship criteria.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must have an overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.5.
• Must be involved in community service.
