Music Therapy Community Outreach Program

Through the community outreach program, our music therapists provide music therapy services to individuals at partner facilities in the Los Angeles area. These music therapy programs provide participants a positive environment with opportunities for music engagement and socialization while exploring and creating music together. The sessions are specifically designed by the music therapist to meet the needs of the participants. For example, using partner songs, simple harmonies, and some original tunes, we work with participants to increase self-expression, promote coping skills, and target goal setting skills, while also laying the foundation for making music with others.

We currently provide outreach services to patients at Huntington Hospital. We have previously partnered with Lokrantz Special Education Center, Dignity Health, Northridge Hospital, CHIME School, and Simi Valley Adventist Hospital. We have received grant funding from the Music Man Foundation, Remo Inc., and Academy of Country Music’s Lifting Lives to support our music therapy outreach programs.
