Orchestra Auditions for 2026-2027 

The CSUN SYMPHONY has a very exciting season planned once again and we look forward to hearing your audition! Orchestra Auditions take place just prior to the start of classes on campus. Auditions are open to both music majors and non-majors. Audition sign-up sheets will be available online in July.

Audition dates 

• Friday, August 21 - Cypress, Room 215

9:00 -11 a.m.       Flutes

11:00 - noon        Oboes and Bassoons

Noon - 1:15 p.m. Clarinets

2:00 - 4:30 p.m.   Horns

4:30 - 6:00 p.m.   Trumpets

6:00 - 7:30 p.m.   Low Brass

9:00 a.m - 2 p.m.  Percussion Auditions for Bands and Orchestra & Percussion Area Meeting 

2:30-5:30 p.m.        Violins

5:30-6:30 p.m.        Violas

EXCERPT INFORMATION

Audition excerpt information and audition sign up links will be e-mailed to returning CSUN orchestra members, current music majors and incoming performance majors by July 1. Any other students interested in auditioning for the CSUN Symphony, can e-mail Dr. Roscigno directly in late June or July to receive the excerpts and sign links.
