University Chorus
One of the oldest vocal ensembles, the University Chorus was designed for the non-music major. The conductor welcomes students from all majors and encourages campus wide participation by any male or female student who loves to sing. Each semester, the chorus sings a concert for the public. During the past several years the programs have included complete works from the great sacred and secular classics performed with instrumental ensembles.
The University Chorus focuses on the study of a variety of musical styles through the performance of choral literature which includes sacred music, spirituals, folk music, and major choral works.
