Bilingual Authorization

Credential

As more dual language schools open, the need for bilingual educators is greater than ever before. Bilingual authorization empowers you to offer support and guidance to students, families and communities.

Why Study Bilingual Authorization?

Our country needs bilingual teachers now more than ever before. Skilled bilingual educators help students achieve their greatest potential. They also offer support and guidance to students, families and communities.

Since the passage of California Proposition 58, more dual language schools have opened, creating more opportunities for teachers with multi-language expertise.

Why Get Your Bilingual Authorization at CSUN?

A Large Program

CSUN has one of the largest public university, education credentialing programs in the state of California.

As a result of our size, we can offer specialized instruction in the teaching of over a dozen specific subjects, rather than the generalized methods at many institutions.

Foundation of Knowledge and Research

At CSUN, we've built our programs on knowledge derived from sound theories and rigorous research. You'll be encouraged to take time for reflection, problem solving and collaboration. Our ongoing research is paired with continuous support for you, your schools, and your communities.

Multicultural Focus

Our nation is home to multicultural school populations. This means CSUN focuses on preparing you for success in diverse settings. By emphasizing data-based assessments, counseling, consultation, prevention, and intervention with a sociological perspective, you'll be equipped to develop accepting and effective learning environments for your students.

What You'll Learn

CSUN currently offers bilingual authorization in Spanish, Korean, or Armenian.
