Mandarin Snow
Ingredients
- Oil
- 1 cup orange sections
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 2 tbsp honey
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 4 egg whites
- A pinch of salt
- 5 tbsp sugar
Preparation
- Lightly cover small dish with oil and add orange sections to the bottom of the dish.
- In a saucepan, combine orange juice and gelatin and poor into a bowl.
- Add Honey, lemon juice, lemon zest.
- Place bowl in another bowl with ice water to cool and stir for about ten minutes.
- In another bowl, combine egg whites, a pinch of salt, and sugar and beat until foamy.
- Fold eggs in with the combination of honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
- Scoop in the mixture into the small dish with the orange sections and chill for about 2 hours or until firm.
- Flip onto plate and enjoy.
