Advisement

The CSM SSC/EOP provides advisement and student support services to students declared in the following departments: Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Geological Sciences, Mathematics and Physics and Astronomy. For more information on whether to seek advisement from the SSC/EOP office or your department, contact our office by phone at (818)677-4558 or email at smssceop@csun.edu.

Students should check their CSUN portal to view advisement holds each semester. Advising is mandatory for students who are on Academic Notice, readmitted previously disqualified students, EOP students, students who are part of an Academic Success Campaign and those students who have a mandatory major advisement hold.

To schedule an appointment with your advisor at the College of Science and Mathematics Student Services Center CSM SSC/ EOP, you can use any of the following methods:

If you scheduled an in-person appointment, check in for the appointment in Eucalyptus Hall (EH) 2126.

If you scheduled a Zoom appointment, check your email for the confirmation email sent when the appointment was scheduled and use the link provided.

If you scheduled a phone appointment, the advisor will call you at the scheduled appointment time. If you do not receive a call, please call the office at (818)677-4558.
