About Us

The Labyrinth lit up at the Oasis Center

The Oasis is Here to Serve Every CSUN Student

We’re focused on your wellness and managing stress.

All current CSUN students are members of the Oasis for no additional cost. When students pay tuition each semester, the fee is included. Students cannot opt out of this fee. In order to access the Oasis, each student will need to register at a kiosk in the Oasis or SRC.

Continuing students (any student who was enrolled in the previous semester) who are not enrolled in summer classes may purchase a summer Oasis membership for $15. Students who have purchased a summer SRC membership may visit the Oasis for no additional cost.

CSUN faculty and staff are eligible for complete access to the Oasis every summer. If you have a summer SRC membership, it will also include access to the Oasis. Those who are not SRC members can still purchase an Oasis summer membership for $15.

Approximately 14 student assistants are employed at the Oasis. For employment opportunities, please visit the USU jobs webpage

The majority of spaces at the Oasis are dedicated for open use and are not available for reservations. Groups or individuals interested in programming opportunities in the Oasis may send an email to oasis@csun.edu

Groups interested in scheduling a tour of the Oasis should send an email to oasis@csun.edu

Construction began on this $5.4 million project in December 2014 and was completed in August 2015. The Oasis includes 6,000 square feet of indoor space as well as an additional 10,000 square feet of outdoor space. The project was funded through the University Student Union (USU) cash reserves. LPA, Inc. was the architectural firm and Hathaway & Dinwiddie was the construction company.

Condor is a seasoned fitness and wellness professional with over 25 years of experience. Honing his leadership skills at luxury gyms like Equinox, he excelled as a top-tier trainer before rising to roles as Fitness Training Manager and Personal Training Manager in both New York City and Los Angeles.

Drawing from his diverse experiences and mentorships from esteemed shamans, Qigong masters, natural therapy healers, and yoga and meditation teachers, Condor seamlessly integrates his knowledge into his work as the manager of the Oasis Wellness Center at California State University, Northridge—a 16,000 square foot wellness facility boasting outdoor gardens, a labyrinth and rejuvenating services.

His passion for holistic well-being was ignited alongside his spiritual exploration, catalyzed by a chance encounter with a monk who gifted him a copy of the Bhagavad Gita during a layover abroad. With a deep-rooted connection to nature and mysticism stemming from his Colombian/Andean heritage, Condor's approach to healing merges South American and North American shamanism, utilizing tools such as Shamanic Breathwork, Emotional Integration, Soul Recovery and plant medicine to facilitate transformative healing journeys.

Certified in various holistic modalities, Condor extends his expertise to the corporate sphere as a wellness and shamanic coach, helping organizations foster healthy and productive work environments. He is also a dynamic presenter, offering enlightening presentations on decolonizing wellness, highlighting indigenous culture's profound contributions to holistic well-being, stress reduction and the medicine wheel.
