Alumni & Giving
Our alumni are an important and valued part of the Communication Studies Department. We encourage you to stay in touch as you put your education to use in the world, we cheer your successes, and we welcome you back to visit at any time. We also recognize that you’re a powerful resource for current and future students. Your experience, professional contacts, and generosity allow the Department of Communication Studies to continue providing — and improving — a high-quality, affordable college education.
Whether you graduated last year or five decades ago, it’s never too early, or too late, to come back — or to give back. Learn how to make your mark today and help another student write their own success story.
Ways to Give
Your private gifts ensure that Communication Studies is best able to provide students with an affordable, accessible and quality education. Your private gifts are important to support programs like Academic Career Coaching, Student Performance Showcases, Speech and Debate, Peer Tutoring and other programs that contribute to student success.
Every gift makes a difference. The Department has more than 15 named funds, including the Aronstam Endowment, General Scholarship Fund, Scholarship Endowment Fund and numerous individual funds to assist students, faculty, and COMS academic programs. You can decide how your special gift will benefit COMS students - establish a named scholarship to leave a legacy of your own, provide support for a specific program or an already existing scholarship or program.
