Adjunct Faculty

Joanne DiVito

Lecturer AY, BA, 2008, Saint-Mary’s College of California in Liberal Arts. She has taught ballet, jazz, and pedagogy at CSUN since 2008.

She has a long and diverse professional career that included performing as a demi-soloist with the Illinois Ballet Company and dancer on multiple Broadway shows. She was a director and choreographer of over 100 commercials, Broadway projects, films, television, and music videos. She was an Emmy nominee and awarded the Professional Dancers Society’s Gypsy Robe, and the Los Angeles Dance Festival Service to the Field Award - Rise of the Female. As a producer, she helped direct, stage and/or choreograph Off Broadway, stage, television, and industrial shows. She worked as a talent agent for Bobby Ball Agency and directed the West Coast Office of Career Transition for Dancers. Concurrent to her teaching career at CSUN, Joanne is a writer and reviewer of dance for the Dance Chronicle, is a judge for the Music Center’s Spotlight Awards, and an Audio Describer for the Blind at major theaters in Southern California.


Jacqueline Eusanio

 Lecturer AY, MS, 2010, CSUN in Kinesiology/Dance

She is a professional dancer and has performed with AMAN International Folk Ensemble, LA Music Center Opera, Opera Pacific, Tag Taguiped’s International Show, and Perfumes of Araby. She is trained in the following dance styles; Middle Eastern, Spanish Flamenco, Polynesian, Ballroom, Folk, Latin. She is an adjunct lecturer at CSUN, College of the Canyons, LA Pierce College, and LA Valley College. She is Assistant Director for the LA Pierce College Folk Dance Concerts.


Wendy Hassenpflug

 Lecturer AY, MS, 2011, CSUN in Kinesiology/Dance

As an educator for over 25 years, she has taught dance and kinesiology at the high school level for ten years, higher education for ten years, and over 25 years in a broad range of private sector programs. Her wellness background includes certifications in Pilates, yoga, personal training, holistic nutrition, and is founder of Vayu Yoga®, a therapeutic aerial yoga practice. She was a professional dancer for Kit Andree Company Dancer, WFL San Antonio Gold Dust Girl, Le Jazz Noir Company Dancer, and Martin Dancers. She is a published author of two textbooks on yoga and modern dance.


Evan Rosenblatt

Lecturer AY, MS, 2011, CSUN in Kinesiology/Dance

He is a professional dance artist (dancer and choreographer), educator, and health and wellness strategist. He has taught at CSUN for the past 14 years, teaching courses in advanced dance technique (Modern and Contemporary), choreography, pedagogy, social dance, dance conditioning, somatics, and numerous kinesiology courses, and he is the social media coordinator for CSUN dance. He has taught dance anatomy, technique and somatics at California Institute of the Arts for the past 7 years. In 2021, Evan was a finalist for the Dance Educator of the Year award, presented by the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science and has won a polished apple award at CSUN. He is a Franklin Method Educator, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist, Holistic Lifestyle Coach through the Chek Institute, and Movnat Certified Trainer. He has a private practice based on The Conscious Dancer, an integrative approach to sustainable lifestyles and careers and has presented at the Embodiment Conference, Franklin Method, SomaFest, Orange County School of the Arts, and The Stomping Ground.


Bethana Rosenthal

 Lecturer AY, MS, 2005, CSUN in Kinesiology/Dance

She is an alumna of the North Carolina School of the Arts Dance Program, is certified as a Permaculture Design Specialist and is currently obtaining certification as a nutrition coach and herbalist. For the past 25 years, she has taught in higher education dance, teaching all levels of Ballet, Jazz, Modern dance, Ballroom, Latin dance, Yoga, Fitness, and Somatics courses. She continues to perform as a professional dancer and was a principal dancer with Ballet Theater Pennsylvania under the direction of Trinette Singleton, lead dancer at New York’s renowned Paul Pellicoro’s Dancesport, dancer with Salsa Brava, TangoManiax and with Pasadena Dance Theater under Cynthia Young.
