eTranscript California

Sending your transcripts to CSUN using eTranscript California allows for faster processing and helps us provide you with an admission decision sooner. Plus, it’s free for students who have attended any of the California community colleges that accept CSUN’s request to send electronic transcripts — those in List 1 below — at the time of application.

NOTES:

  • CSUN only accepts and processes electronic transcripts from California community colleges through eTranscript California. Electronic transcripts from other vendors, or those sent to us in Portable Document Format (PDF) must be printed and processed manually as paper transcripts. Paper transcripts take up to eight weeks to evaluate.
  • If you are a current CSUN student and want to transfer California community college credits to CSUN, see the Electronic Transcripts for Current CSUN Students row below.

Please do not send identical, duplicate paper and/or electronic transcripts.

The following California community colleges will automatically send electronic transcripts at CSUN's request at the time you submit your application for CSUN admission. This includes in-progress (preliminary transcripts) and final transcripts.

IMPORTANT! If you are in either of the following situations, YOU must request your transcripts from the community colleges listed below (CSUN cannot request them):

  • You did not report attending the school on your Cal State Apply application.
  • You did not report a work-in-progress course on your application.

REMEMBER: It is your responsibility to confirm that CSUN has received your transcripts. Log in to the CSUN Portal and review My Checklist. If more than one week has passed since transcripts have been ordered, we recommend contacting the sending institution.
