Why Minor in Gender and Women's Studies?

You'll explore how gender and sexuality play a role in culture, the arts, literature, health, politics, the sciences, law and education. Through your courses in gender and women's studies, you'll understand the differences that gender makes in peoples' economic, social and political lives.

A Gender and Women's Studies minor complements many majors, such as psychology, sociology, English, communication and business. It provides an excellent background for careers such as law, counseling and healthcare or advanced graduate degrees in fields such as women's studies, education, communication, politics, cultural and media studies.

The center is a warm, inviting place for all CSUN students to learn, relax, volunteer or find resources and referrals for a variety of issues. While the center specializes in issues particular to women’s experiences, all gender identities are welcome.
