Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS)
The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) is offered at CSUN for current students, applicants and members of the Greater San Fernando Valley community who are pursuing a degree in nursing or a related field. The TEAS exam, offered strictly online, is the ATI TEAS exam (version seven). CSUN is an open testing site for TEAS. Testing is available for both students and nonstudents.
The TEAS exam is a multiple-choice assessment of basic knowledge of reading, mathematics, science, English and language usage. The objectives assessed are those that nursing educators deem most appropriate and relevant to measure the entry-level skills and abilities of program applicants.
Composite scores, as well as several subscores, are computed in each of the four content areas to assess specific content comprehension. Results will be available immediately following the completion of the exam. Results will also be accessible by logging in to your account on the ATI website.
The Testing Center offers both in-person and remote proctoring options. Candidates need to register online for the remote proctoring option.
