If you are interested in part-time teaching opportunities in the History Department, please submit a current CV and cover letter to history@csun.edu listing specific courses you are interested in teaching and, whenever possible, times available for teaching assignments. Applicants should also describe their strategies for teaching a diverse student population. The CV should include educational background, prior teaching experience, evidence of scholarship, and/or related professional experience. Applicants should also send at least one syllabus for a course they have taught.

In addition to teaching, the lecturer position requires weekly office hours and participation in assessment of student learning. The successful candidate will be held to the standards and requirements of the college and department in which he/she/they is/are employed. Given CSUN's commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and engagement in a diverse environment, the successful candidate will help the Department achieve equitable academic outcomes for all students through teaching, student mentorship, and scholarship.
