Dr. Silvia Fernandez will give the Plenary address at the 41st Víctor Neumann-Lara Colloquium on Graph Theory, Combinatorics, and Their Applications.

This meeting is being held at UNAM Campus Morelia in the state of Michoacán, Mexico, but Dr. Fernandez will deliver her talk via zoom on Friday, April 16, 2026, 8am (Pacific time)

  • Selected to participate in the 8-week CERN-ATLAS (European Organization of Nuclear Research-A Toroidal LHC ApparatuS) search program during the summer at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland (sponsored by an NSF-HSI grant based at Fresno State). 
  • Her talk “ Exploring polyomino motion: classification of amoebic polyominoes” concerning our research was accepted at the 2026 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR). The event will take place April 13-15 in Richmond, Virginia.
