This tool is designed to help you estimate your new net pay and see how adjustments to exemptions or voluntary contributions might affect your paycheck. Before making any changes, we highly recommend consulting with a tax professional for personalized advice.
We recommend reviewing the following pages for your reference:
- To get started, you’ll need a copy of your most recent paycheck stub or direct deposit advice handy. This information will help you input accurate data into the calculator.
- Important: The Payroll Office does not have a copy of your pay warrant, so please refer to your own documents.
- We suggest reviewing the Receiving & Understanding Your Pay for your reference, and keeping the Pay Warrant Legend accessible as well.
Once you're ready, follow these simple steps to use the Paycheck Calculator:
You’ll be entering information into the boxed area in Column B, Rows 3-18 of the spreadsheet. Here’s what you need to know:

Once you’ve entered all the required details, your Net Pay will automatically be calculated on line 19 of the calculator.
- Exemptions, Flex Deductions, Voluntary Deductions, and TSA: Any changes you make to these options may affect your net pay, so please be mindful.
