The Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, juried by Meghan Gordon of OCHI Gallery, features a selection of work by students studying at local high schools
Artwork includes students from: AGBU Manoogian Demirdjian School, Arleta HS, ArTES Magnet, Bridges Academy, Canoga Park High School, CHAMPS Charter High School of the Arts in Van Nuys, El Camino Real Charter High School, Grover Cleveland Charter High School, Harvard-Westlake School, Heritage Christian Schools, James Monroe High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Magnolia Science Academy 1, Milken Community School, Northridge Academy High School, Notre Dame H.S., Sherman Oaks, San Fernando High School, Sylmar Charter High School, Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences, Viewpoint School

Kalli Arte Collective
Our Sun Will Rise

Los Angeles, CA — The Art Galleries at California State University, Northridge present Our Sun Will Rise — the culmination of CSUN’s first Virginia A. Orndorff Artist-in- Residence program. Taking place May 3 - 22, 2025 in the CSUN West Gallery, the exhibition will showcase work made by Kalli Arte Collective during their time spent as artists-in-residence at CSUN’s Department of Art & Design in the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication. Known for their works such as the Reimagination mural at Roosevelt High School and their Sueños Real exhibition at Self Help Graphics & Art, this unique residency program gives the Collective access to facilities to explore new mediums with greater depth and creative freedom.
Our Sun Will Rise is curated and produced by the Spring 2025 ART 342/542 Exhibition Design Class in collaboration with Kalli Arte Collective and CSUN Art Galleries. The exhibition is made possible through the support of the Virginia A. Orndorff Artist-in-Residence Program. Additional support provided from the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication; Instructionally Related Activities Committee; and Arts Council for CSUN.
