OEHHA Community Air Quality Monitoring in SFV
The goal of the project is to establish a network of community members to take collective action through civic participation; and, to establish a tool for which they can report air quality issues continuously. The purpose of this contract is to gather, organize, train, and support San Fernando Valley residents to measure, study and address issues, and educate the community of San Fernando Valley and the public about air quality. The project schedule and deliverables follow current trends of establishing a community air monitoring network (CAMN) within an existing system called Identifying Violations Affecting Neighborhoods (IVAN). The San Fernando Valley CAMN will become the ninth such network established in California.
