A virtual workshop on NIH supplement programs such as diversity supplements, re-entry and re-integration supplements, and the life-event supplement by Dr. Shakira M. Nelson, Program Director of the Division of Training, Workforce Development and Diversity at the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS). This workshop was hosted by the CSUN BUILD PODER Program and CSUN HERE Center.
Created by the CDC and OMH, this tool can be leveraged to support the identification of racial and ethnic minority communities at greatest risk for disproportionate impact and adverse outcomes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers are highly encouraged to utilize this tool to identify health disparities when writing for grants.
