Scholarships
To encourage and support the success of our students, the HSCI Department offers various scholarship and award opportunities.
The application is usually due in the Fall semester for the HSCI Department-based scholarships.
Below is a description of each scholarship and award. To apply for scholarships and read specific scholarship criteria, you will need to complete the CSUN online scholarship application by logging in to myMatadorScholarships.
Congratulations to our Scholarship 2024 Recipients!
This scholarship is made possible by a generous contribution from the Judge Julian Beck Health Sciences Endowment – established in 1984. It is the intention of the donor to provide financial assistance to an outstanding senior each year in any of the Health Sciences programs (radiologic sciences, public health, health administration). Recipients of this award will be selected by the scholarship review faculty committee based upon demonstration of commitment to professional growth and service, leadership, positive and professional attitude, and (if applicable) outstanding clinical potential.

This scholarship is made possible by a generous contribution from the Lennin H. Glass Scholarship Endowment. It is the intention of the donor to provide financial assistance to two outstanding returning undergraduate or graduate adult students (radiologic sciences, public health, health administration). Recipients of this award will be selected by the scholarship review faculty committee based upon demonstration of commitment to professional growth and service, leadership, positive and professional attitude within the Health Sciences field, and be a returning adult student.

This scholarship is made possible through generous donations and will provide financial assistance to health administration undergraduate student(s) who have completed HSCI312 and HSCI314. Recipients of this award will be selected by the scholarship review faculty committee based upon evidence of financial need and responses to application questions.

A merit-based scholarship will be awarded to the most qualified undergraduate student(s) in Public Health Promotion. Recipients of this award will be selected by the scholarship review faculty committee based upon academic achievement, financial need, contributions to the community, and commitment to the field.

The Radiologic Technology Scholarship was created to encourage the radiologic technology students at California State University Northridge (CSUN) to continue their education and reward outstanding students so that they gain the professional imaging skills, training and experience necessary to join the ranks of the Radiologic Technology professionals. The scholarships will be based on a combination of scholastic achievement and commitment to the imaging profession.

The summer internship scholarship support is made possible by a generous grant from the Richard B. Siegel Foundation. This scholarship will support graduating undergraduate students enrolled in one of the HSCI282 or HSCI386 or HSCI494 DURING the SUMMER SESSION.
