Living on campus will help you build a stronger connection to the campus community. Plus, studies have shown that students who live on campus tend to excel academically, with higher GPAs and graduation rates than those of their peers living off campus.
As a resident of Student Housing, you’ll enjoy living in a secure, gated environment with all the amenities — swimming pools, sport courts, in-room Wi-Fi, a 24-hour computer lab and private study lounges. You can also choose to live in a Learning Community, where you’ll connect with fellow students around shared interests and experiences.
Suites, Apartments and Family Housing
Student Housing at CSUN offers multiple living options.
The Suites
Furnished, two-person bedrooms with semiprivate baths. This modern and comfortable option is recommended for freshmen and sophomores. A meal plan is required.
The Park Apartments
Furnished two-bedroom, one-bath apartments for four students. Each unit has a living room, dining area and private balcony. Most units come with kitchens. If you live in a unit without a kitchen, you’ll need a meal plan.
The Village Apartments
This family housing option is designed for students with a spouse or dependent children. The Village offers unfurnished, one- and two-bedroom apartments with private patios, a pool, children’s playground and recreation room.

Meal Plans
CSUN offers a variety of meal plans to meet your needs. If you live in the Suites or in a Park Apartment unit without a kitchen, you have to purchase a traditional meal plan of 10, 12 or unlimited meals per week. Each traditional meal plan includes some MataCash — funds that can be spent at CSUN’s on-campus eateries.
If you live in a Park Apartment with a kitchen — or if you’re living off campus — you can also choose from select meal plans for your dining convenience.

Applying for Housing
Housing applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited and fills quickly. We recommend applying as soon as the application becomes available. Dates vary, but you’ll receive an email letting you know when the application is open.
