Important Things to Know

CSUN has implemented academic impaction. If you’re a California resident, you’ll need to meet higher admission requirements if you’re applying to an impacted major.

If you’re out of state or a graduate of a high school outside California, are an active military student or a veteran, or you’re an international student, impaction doesn’t apply to you.

Learn more about academic impaction at CSUN.

If you’re a first-generation student, you might benefit from the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP). EOP provides services to historically low-income, educationally disadvantaged students who are the first in their immediate family to go to college. If you qualify for EOP, you’ll have access to a variety of additional resources to help you succeed as you earn your bachelor’s degree.

Our office of Veterans Affairs is available to review your documents and guide you through the admissions process.
