Where Are Matadors Making a Difference?
Here are just a few companies with skilled CSUN alumni among their ranks:
Our Alumni Give Back
CSUN alumni understand the importance of support and opportunity. Many remain actively engaged in our campus community, sharing their knowledge and expertise with students through mentorship, guest lectures, resume reviews, networking events, internships, career fairs and more.
Andrew Anagnost, ’87 (Mechanical Engineering)
President and CEO, Autodesk
“Getting into CSUN was transformational, and it enabled my future. At CSUN, I found the community that recognized my untapped potential and nurtured and supported me.”
After graduating from CSUN, Anagnost earned a master’s degree in Engineering Science and a Ph.D. in Aeronautical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University. Today he runs one of the largest software companies in the world. The Autodesk Technology Engagement Center will open at CSUN in 2024.

Proud Matadors in Action
Alexis Aleman ’19 (Biology)
Fourth Year Medical Student, UCLA
Alexis grew up never knowing anyone who went to college. As a Matador, he embraced every opportunity for support to help him succeed, and graduated with a full-ride scholarship to medical school. Now he’s training to become the physician he wishes he’d seen growing up in his South Central Los Angeles community — and actively encouraging other students along the way.
“I had everything at CSUN – support with my classes, amazing professors, research opportunities. It helped me to understand that I wasn’t limited in anything.”
Aleeya Fitzgerald ’23 (Broadcast Journalism)
Sunrise Reporter, KGET NBC Bakersfield
As a Matador, Fitzgerald developed and honed her skills as a reporter and anchor for Valley View News. Her hands-on experience helped her land an on-air job right after graduation and set the stage for a successful career.
“Through my time at CSUN I learned so many skills that prepared me for the real world. I wouldn’t be where I am now without my amazing professors and mentors.”
Keiana Samoy '23 (Business Analytics)
Business Analyst, NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory
As a Matador, Keiana found her love for data science as research fellow for CSUN'S Autonomy Research Center for STEAHM (ARCS), a NASA-sponsored organization. Her relentless pursuit of uncovering the universe led her to secure a full-time position as a business analyst at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where she delivers data-driven insights for the moon, Mars and beyond.
"I am so thankful for my time at CSUN. I owe a lot of my success to the outstanding professors at the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, my peers in the Business Honors Program (BHP) and ARCS. Once a Matador, always a Matador!"
