The Quality Management certificate program is offered in collaboration with CSUN's Department of Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Management and Department of Systems and Operations Management. This means you will receive the expertise of these departments through this program.

What You'll Learn

The Quality Management Certificate program has two required core classes. The first covers quality management and quality control for products and services, including ISO 9000 certification. The second teaches lean manufacturing systems, which is a methodology that focuses on minimizing waste while maximizing productivity.

Then you will choose elective courses to customize your certificate program. Elective courses cover:

  • Project management theories, such as PERT/CPM, and various software tools
  • Service management tools and technologies
  • Non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods and analyses
  • Six Sigma quality engineering
