Department Overview

The Finance team within Physical Plant Management is responsible for the fiscal stewardship of departmental resources, ensuring transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency across all PPM units. The team manages budgeting, financial reporting, expense tracking, chargebacks, and reconciliation processes in compliance with university policies and funding guidelines.

In addition to financial oversight, the team plays a key role in timekeeping and payroll administration. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving overtime, shift differentials, absence entries, and payroll certifications; resolving discrepancies; maintaining leave records; and ensuring accurate processing for employee separations, transfers, and schedule changes.

By delivering precise financial management, proactive payroll support, and reliable reporting, the Finance team enables informed decision-making and the effective use of resources throughout the department.
