About Facilities Sustainability
The Facilities Sustainability Team drives transformative progress toward the university’s bold sustainability vision. Central to implementing the Road Map to Sustainability — our comprehensive ten-year strategy aligned with CSU, state, and global climate goals—the team manages campus utilities, leads energy conservation and greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, and integrates renewable technologies across our facilities. Their work also emphasizes zero waste practices, rolling out multi-stream waste bin systems, recycling and composting programs, and creative community engagement efforts. Through strategic infrastructure upgrades, analytics, and inclusive outreach, this team positions CSUN as a regional leader in operational sustainability, resource conservation, and equitable environmental stewardship.
