Survey Review Procedure

This survey review procedure is provided to assist survey requesters through the process. A "survey requester" is a CSUN faculty or staff member. The survey review procedure described here takes approximately two weeks to complete. The survey administrative committee respectfully asks that survey requests be submitted at least three weeks in advance of the desired survey window to allow adequate time for review.

Survey Review Procedure

  1. Survey requester reviews information articulated in the Survey Review Standards and the Broadcast Email Policy on our website.
  2. Survey requester shares their draft survey with their division representative for an initial review. Refer to the Committee Member Representatives on our website.
  3. If the survey requester's division representative agrees that the survey requires review by the Survey Administrative Committee, survey requester submits their draft survey to the committee by clicking the "Submit Survey Request" button on this web page and completing the form.
  4. Survey Administrative Committee chair or co-chair shares draft survey with the survey administrative committee for review.
  5. Survey Administrative Committee reviews draft survey against CSUN survey review standards and either: approves, approves conditionally, or does not approve the survey.
  6. Survey Administrative Committee chair or co-chair informs the survey requester of the survey's approval status.
  7. If the survey is approved, it will be added to the CSUN Survey Calendar.
  8. Survey requester uses the self-service CSUN broadcast email tool to distribute their survey. Refer to the Broadcast Email Policy on our website for details.
