In May, in-person commencement finally returned to the CSUN campus after two years of virtual and hybrid ceremonies. Graduates of 2019-21 also had a chance for a &#8220;do-over&#8221; and were welcomed back to campus for special in-person commencement ceremonies of their own.</div>

CSUN’s Distinguished Alumni Awards returned in 2022 for the first time in three years, with three honorees honored at the Skirball Center in June. All three have had great success in Hollywood — they included business manager Fred Nigro ’74 (Accounting), actress Lauren Ridloff ’01 (English) and executive Keith Weaver ’96 (Journalism), M.P.A. ’07.</div>

CSUN is a favorite filming site for many shows, movies and productions, big and small. This year, R&amp;B superstar and producer Lizzo came to campus to film her award-winning “About Damn Time” music video — and did it all in a single night.</div>
