Suzy Herberg
I attended the University of Arizona, where I received a B.A. in Education and U.C. Irvine where I received an M.A. in Art Education. I was a teacher at LAUSD for 34 years, where I taught art and met my late husband who was an artist. I was exposed to the arts at an early age by my mother, who was an opera singer. My son received a degree in musical composition from CSUN and has gone into a career in music. His attendance at CSUN led directly to my involvement with the Arts Council. I have worked with the Arts Council in many capacities such as Visual Arts Co-ordinater, hosting receptions at the CSUN Art Galleries, ushering, the Matador Award Committee, and attending student performances. I look forward to serving as this years Arts Council President and becoming involved with the vibrant art community in the San Fernando Valley including CSUN students, faculty and alumni.
