</p><p>Welcome back to a brand new year, Matadors! To help all the new and returning students, here’s a list of key resources and information to make the first weeks of school as smooth as possible.</p>
<p><strong>Transportation and Safety</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/parking">Parking</a></b> – All CSUN parking lots and structures will be available, including the new G6 structure, a 1,500-space structure along Zelzah Avenue at Plummer Street. Parking permits are available through the CSUN Portal or the Parking Office where individuals can now register their license plate instead of printing a physical permit.</li>
<li>Be aware that heavy traffic is expected for the first few weeks of the semester. More information about traffic can be found on the <a href="https://www.csun.edu/sites/default/files/Campus%20Traffic%20Map%20w.pdf)">campus traffic map</a>.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/parking/csun-shuttle-services">Shuttle</a> </b>– CSUN’s housing and Metrolink Northridge Station shuttles will be available for the campus community from Monday-Friday.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/police/matador-patrol">Matador Patrol</a> </b>– This student-operated public service offers free personal safety escorts for students, faculty, staff and visitors, operating Monday-Thursday from dusk until 11 p.m. <b></b>Their non-emergency, 24 hour number is 818-677-2111.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>COVID Precautions<br />
</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/csunasone/health-and-safety">Masking</a></b> — Masks are required inside classrooms or laboratories. The wearing of masks is strongly recommended, but not required, in all other indoor spaces and outdoors.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/csunasone/health-and-safety">Daily Health Screening</a> </b>– All students, employees and visitors must complete a health screening survey before coming to campus. The survey can be found on the CSUN website and on the CSUN app. Everyone is also required to complete a self-reporting form if they have tested positive or are exposed to COVID-19.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Wellness </b></p>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/src">Student Recreation Center</a> </b>– As “the place where Matadors play,” the SRC continues to help students, faculty and community members achieve their fitness goals in a safe environment. Make sure to check their website for upcoming events and <a href="https://www.csun.edu/src/intramural-sports">intramural sports</a>.</li>
<li><a title="Link: https://www.csun.edu/shc" href="https://www.csun.edu/shc">Klotz Student Health Center</a> — The Klotz SHC provides services such as primary care, sports medicine, nutritional counseling, and birth control education. Visit their website to schedule an appointment and find out their timings.</li>
<li><a title="Link: https://www.csun.eduThe" href="https://www.csun.eduthe/">The</a><a title="Link: https://www.csun.edu/oasis" href="https://www.csun.edu/oasis"> Oasis Wellness Center</a> — Located in the USU, the Oasis is open for students to visit and attend different health and wellness events. Students can also access different services and wellness classes by scheduling an appointment on their website.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Food<br />
</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://dineoncampus.com/csun">Dining </a></b>– All dining locations will be open including the Arbor Grill, Freudian Sip and more. Download the Boost App to order ahead or download the Dine On Campus App to access menus and timings.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="http://(https//www.csun.edu/mic/foodpantry">Food Pantry</a> </b>– The CSUN Food Pantry will be operating as well. <b></b>Make sure to check out the food pantry’s <a href="https://www.facebook.com/csunfoodpantry/">Facebook</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/csunfoodpantry/">Instagram</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/csunfoodpantry/">Twitter</a> for the latest news.</li>

<li><b><a href="https://www.thesoraya.org/">The Soraya</a></b> –Make sure to visit their website for more information on the <a href="https://www.thesoraya.org/calendar/2021-22-season/">2022-23 season</a>. Students, faculty and staff receive special discounts on tickets.</li>

<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/mike-curb-arts-media-communication/art-galleries">… Galleries </a></b>–<b> </b>The CSUN Art Galleries <b></b>located near the D6 parking lot<b> </b>are open Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.</li>

<p><b>Learning and Printing Resources</b><b><br />

<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://library.csun.edu/service-updates">University Library</a></b> – Daily health screenings will be required to enter the library. As per CSUN policy, masks must be worn in all public areas of the University Library.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><a href="https://www.csun.edu/undergraduate-studies/learning-resource-center"><b… Resource Center</b> </a>– The LRC will be providing tutoring services both online and in person. Visit the website to schedule an appointment or find out more about dropping in during their office hours.</li>
</ul>

<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/it/device-loaner-program)">Device Loaner Program and Free Printing</a></b> – The Device Loaner Program is available to students enrolled for the fall 2022 semester. Students can borrow laptops, webcams, hotspots and headsets at no cost. Students can also print up to 20 pages for free per day at the University Student Union.</li>

<p><b>Community<br />
</b></p>
<ul>
<li><b><a href="https://csun.campuslabs.com/engage">Clubs</a></b> – Students can join clubs through Matasync, and some clubs will be meeting in person, while others remain online. Students can learn more about each club through Matasync<b> </b>or by contacting board members. Meet the Clubs (add link) will be on Sept. 13 and 14 at the Sierra Quad.</li>

<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/mic/events">Greek Life</a></b> – Recruitment is in session for Greek organizations on campus. Find more information about each<b> </b>chapter on the CSUN website.</li>

<li><b><a href="https://www.csun.edu/dreamcenter">DREAM Center</a> </b>– Members of the CSUN community can attend free events hosted by the DREAM Center. The DREAM Center provides services and resources to undocumented students, mixed-status families, staff, faculty, allies and future undocumented students, while also providing legal services at their office in the USU.</li>

<li>CSUN<b> <a href="https://www.csun.edu/blackhouse">Black House</a> </b>and<b> <a href="https://www.csun.edu/humanities/asian-american-studies/glenn-omatsu-hou… Omatsu House</a></b> – The Black House and Glenn Omatsu House are open to provide safe spaces for the CSUN community. They offer tutoring and mentoring services, and they host events both in person and online.</li>
