Working at StrengthUnited has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career.
I love working with the diverse communities across in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys through our multi-disciplinary approach, this means on any given day I could be doing case management (helping people access basic needs like food or other resources), teaching parents how to engage with their children in a healthy way, using art as a way to connect to a child, empowering community members to see themselves as leaders.
Every day, I collaborate with an incredible team of professionals – from licensed mental health practitioners to advocates and prevention specialists – all united in their commitment to supporting survivors and preventing violence.
The workplace culture here is exceptional. What I appreciate most is working alongside colleagues who are not just highly skilled professionals, but also deeply compassionate individuals. There's a genuine sense of camaraderie among staff across our four locations, and the collaborative environment encourages both professional growth and personal development. The leadership team really values work-life balance, they offer flexibility which has helps me focus on my wellbeing while serving the community. The benefits package is really good.
