ACCT 498C Summer 2025 Internship Application
Approval process and how to obtain a permission number to enroll in ACCT 498C Summer 2025
Pre-requisite:
• Completed BUS 302 and BUS 302L;
• Secured Internship (must have offer letter for Summer 2025 internship)
• Attend online ACCT 498C Internship Orientation Workshop (Register on Handshake)
Permission number for ACCT 498C will be issued once you complete the following steps using Handshake and your application has been
approved.
Step 1: Attend an online ACCT 498C Internship Orientation Workshop
Access to the application will be provided to you AFTER you attend the Internship Workshop. Register for the Workshop on Handshake.
Step 2: Complete the Summer Internship Application on Handshake
To access the Internship Application in Handshake, please follow the link www.joinhandshake.com and log-in. Once you are logged into Handshake, click on Career Center, located on the top right-hand corner. Then click on Experiences and then go on to Request an Experience. (You will be required to provide detailed job information, and supervisor contact info. Contact info will include a direct email address, company website and company mailing address). Please make sure all items are filled out correctly and completely before you submit "Request an Experience." Upon completion of your Experience Application, a verification request will be emailed to your supervisor to complete.
Step 3: Attach your official Internship Offer letter
In the overview tab of your Experience, select "Add Attachment" to add your official Offer Letter. Internship Applications will not be considered complete if the official Offer Letter is not included. Unpaid Internships will require additional steps. Please contact Gladys Polio for additional directions.
Step 4: Release of Liability
The Release of Liability waiver will be emailed to your for your electronic signature via ADOBE Sign. Use the link to complete and sign the document. Please make sure to complete the fields containing Activity, Activity Dates, and Activity Location. Download the document for your records. You can also Download your completed form by logging into your CSUN ADOBE SIGN account at: https://www.csun.edu/it/adobe- acrobat-sign
In the overview tab of your Experience, select “Add Attachment” to add your completed Release of Liability.
FOLLOW UP!
You will also receive a confirmation email once your Experience application has been submitted on Handshake. Please keep track of all Comments & Activity on Handshake as we may request additional documentation from you.
Once your application is complete, all requested materials have been submitted and your application has been approved, we will email you a permission number in order to enroll in ACCT 498C for Summer 2025.
Internship Course has limited openings. Only completed applications will be considered.
