Student Contact
Flowchart above shows what steps a student should take if contacted by Federal Immigration Enforcement Officers on Campus:
- Students should review their Red Card and determine an appropriate reply. Inform the federal immigration enforcement officer(s) that you are not obstructing or impeding any investigation but you have been instructed to contact DPS.
- Do not escalate the situation or physically intervene.
- Contact DPS at 818-677-2111 24 hours/7 days a week.
- Or if there are concerns about reporting to DPS, contact the following for support:
- Students-Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs, 818-677-2391, Valera Hall 310.
- Faculty-Faculty Affairs, 818-677-2962, faculty.affairs@csun.edu, Valera Hall 305.
- Staff-Human Resources, 818-677-6566, er@csun.edu, Valera Hall 70.
Staff from DPS and designated CSUN Administrators will work collaboratively to support students by providing guidance, support as needed.
Reporting through other designated staff or offices that are usually open for regular business hours from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. rather than directly contacting the department of Police Services may lead to delays in assistance.
