RS Advisement Appointments

Yes, however, you must email your unofficial transcripts to hsci@csun.edu so we can forward them to the advisor. Also, you will still need to come in for a one-on-one advisement. When you make that appointment call Lisa Naugle and schedule a tour that same day. The number is 818-885-8500 ext.2628. You can also schedule a campus tour that day as well.

No, the group advisement is usually two hours long. An advisor will go over the program and application process in depth. You will still need to have a one-on-one advisement to go over grades and prerequisites, etc.
First, make sure to read the 13 page informational packet on our department website. Then, be sure to bring any questions you have along with your DPR (or unofficial transcripts) no more than a week old.
Application to the RS Program
Applications open in October.
As long as it is post marked by the second Friday in January, the application is on time.
No, there are no spring admissions. Applications are received in the fall and are reviewed in the spring.
All prerequisites must be completed by the spring before the program starts in the fall.

Interview During Selection for the RS Program

No, the tour needs to be completed before you turn in the application so the proof can be enclosed with your application.

No, you have until the first day of school to have it completed and make sure it is CPR for the Healthcare provider also called BLS given by the American Heart Association. (No online classes accepted)
No, you will need to apply again for the following year.
You should dress as if you were going to a job interview in business dress attire.
After the Interview for Selection to the RS Program
Responses to the applicants usually go out by the first week of May. You are notified via email and as well as a mailed letter to the addresses provided from your application.
You will be asked, ”What have I done in this last year to be successful in the RS program?” You do receive 2 points just for reapplying.
If accepted into the program, you will bring these forms completed to the Radiologic Sciences Orientation that is conducted in May.
